Moana spoilers follow.
Disney's live-action remake of Moana arrived in cinemas today, 10 years after the original animation debuted. The musical adventure follows the titular hero on a dangerous journey to return the heart (a pounamu stone) of the goddess Te Fiti.
After taking to the sea with her pet rooster Heihei, Moana (Catherine Laga'aia) finds Maui (Dwayne Johnson), the demigod who stole the heart from Te Fiti. She convinces him to redeem himself by helping her, and the trio embark on an epic quest with a number of challenges along the way.

Despite some brutal reviews from critics, the movie promises feel-good vibes for the whole family with its PG age rating. But if you're hoping for a little extra time in the air-conditioned cinema, you'll be disappointed to learn that Moana doesn't have a post-credit scene.
If you do still want to stick around during the credits, you'll be treated to a new song not included in the original movie. 'Along The Way' features Laga'aia, Johnson and Auli'i Cravalho, who voiced Moana in the two animations.

Thomas Kail directs the movie from a screenplay co-written by original 2016 Moana writer Jared Bush, and Dana Ledoux Miller.
In Digital Spy's two-star review of the remake, we said: "It's easy to see why Disney decided Moana was an easy win, especially by bringing Dwayne Johnson along for the ride too.
"Yet, even if you can see the cynical mechanics behind the decision, that doesn't change the fact that the Moana live-action remake is the most pointless one yet."
