Emmerdale's Liv Flaherty has a lot on her plate at the moment, what with concerns over her half-brother Aaron Dingle, but that's no excuse for her latest actions.
In yesterday's (December 11) trip to the Dales, viewers were left stunned when Liv popped to the café and bought herself a bottle of water. Although there's a debate to be had over single-use plastic, fans' real disappointment stemmed from the water's price.
Instead of opting for a tap water, which would have been free, Liv handed over a £5 note before walking away from the counter without any change. That's right: in Emmerdale, it costs five (5!) British pounds for the privilege of having your water bottled.

Is the café deliberately ripping off its customers or did Rodney Blackstock simply forget to hand over Liv's change after being snubbed over the panto? We can't really be sure, but either way, viewers will remain outraged by Café Main Street's daylight robbery.
"Bloody hell. Fiver for a bottle of water in the cafe?!?" one fan tweeted, while another added in capitals: "WOW Liv just brought a bottle of water at the café gave £5 got NO change."

Asking the all-important questions, one viewer also commented: "Why did Liv just pay 5 quid for a water!?" Why indeed.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
