Tonight's episode of Emmerdale saw David Metcalfe and Leyla Harding finally make a breakthrough with Jacob Gallagher after making him face the consequences of his actions.
In tonight's scenes (November 22), Jacob faced a backlash in the village from his family and friends after he slept with Leanna Cavanagh and then mistreated her the following day.
Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) in particular were both disgusted by Jacob's behaviour and made it perfectly clear that they're fed up with the way he's been acting.
Things got even worse for Jacob when he returned home to find that David and Leyla had reached the end of their tether with him.
David told Jacob that, since he seems reluctant to change his behaviour, he should pack his bags and leave the house. Leyla backed up David, expressing her disappointment at his apparent lack of respect for women.
Realising that he had nowhere else to go, Jacob begged David and Leyla to let him stay, but they were adamant that he needed to leave.

The major shock made a huge impact on Jacob, and he soon realised just how much he'd been messed up by his groomer Maya Stepney.
Blaming her for his recent spell of bad behaviour, he promised David and Leyla that he would change.
They then revealed that they were never actually going to kick him out, but that they needed to make him realise the error of his ways.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
