Emmerdale star Amy Walsh has described shooting the factory fire scenes as "hardcore" ahead of tonight's dramatic developments (August 1).

Thursday's episodes will see one person lose their life after the factory catches on fire. Tracy Metcalfe, played by Walsh, is in the most immediate danger as she finds herself trapped in a storeroom at the worst possible time.

A first look clip shows Tracy fearing for her life when smoke starts to pour into the room.

The fire is unwittingly started by Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton), after they sabotaged the CCTV to cover their tracks regarding the stolen money in the safe.

But Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) could be initially blamed for the fire, with the business in a dire financial situation.
