Emmerdale's Amy Wyatt found herself in a terrifying situation during Tuesday (July 18) night's double bill when her and Cain Dingle's son Kyle went missing.
Amy, who has been desperate to prove that she's a fit mother, was looking after Kyle when he disappeared in the playground, after she was distracted by Nate Robinson.
The pair immediately panicked and went off looking for Kyle who, unbeknownst to them, had ended up getting himself locked inside the garage while playing in a car that had the engine turned on, meaning the garage was steadily filling up with poisonous fumes.
Eventually Nate went to check the garage to find Kyle inside the smoke-filled space and he broke open the garage door to rescue the boy, who was later taken to hospital as a precaution.
But while Amy was frantically searching for her son, she ran into Moira and had to tell her that Kyle was missing.
Moira accompanied Amy and Kyle to the hospital, where they were assured that Kyle doesn't have carbon monoxide poisoning from the fumes as he wasn't exposed to them for long enough.

Later, Amy put Moira in a difficult situation when she begged her not to tell Cain what had happened, fearing that he'd never let her take care of Kyle again. Although Moira eventually promised Amy she wouldn't let Cain know, she was left worrying that Cain would find out the truth anyway.
"Let's just hope he doesn't find out from anyone else," Moira said. "Or believe me, we'll all live to regret it."
While Cain was left none the wiser about what happened to Kyle, the soap is already hinting that it won't be long until he finds out.
At the end of the episode, viewers saw Cain return to the garage to find that the lock had been broken, leaving him suspicious about what could have happened...
Meanwhile, Natalie Ann Jamieson, who plays Amy, recently spoke about how she thinks Cain would react if he found out what happened to Kyle.
"If Cain was to find out that Amy had done this, there would be no rational way of looking at it from his point of view," she said.
"Cain would put the blame on Amy and that would ruin her chances of seeing Kyle. Kyle is the main reason she came back to the village so that would be awful."
Emmerdale currently airs on weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with extra episodes at 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
