Ronnie Mitchell's long-awaited wedding to Jack Branning is set to finally take place on Sunday (January 1), and in tonight's new preview, the car's arrived to whisk her off to it.
Unfortunately for Ronnie, however, the day's not going to end well, as it will see Samantha Womack and Rita Simons killed off in bizarre and "gruesome" scenes.
And it looks like EastEnders writers are enjoying teasing viewers about the Mitchells' fate a little bit too much, considering their reference to an iconic fatal ending in the clip.
"It's like that film, isn't it... Thelma and Louise," gushes Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) as she admires the car.
"You're kidding, you know how that ended?" comes the reply. Yes, Aunt Sal, we do. Gulp.

Roxy took drugs during the market traders' Christmas party and ended up leaving Beales' restaurant looking pretty shame-faced after making a fool of herself while dancing with Shrimpy, but fortunately her mum Glenda and half-brother Danny were on hand to help after she'd called them to pick her up.
EastEnders returns to our screens with an hour-long special at 7pm on New Year's Day, with a dramatic sequence of events expected during Ronnie and Jack's wedding.
