EastEnders' Shona McGarty has shared an exciting career update, with her rumoured boyfriend Tony Discipline supportively weighing in. The star famously played Whitney Dean on the BBC soap until two years ago, making a brief return in May this year.
Since her departure, Shona has put more focus on her music career, releasing since 'Unapologetically Me' last year – and she has another new song on the way!
Teasing a preview of 'Mr Anxiety' on her Instagram earlier this week, the star wrote in the comments: "Wrote a song about my favorite uninvited house guest: ‘Mr Anxiety’.

Rumours around a potential romance between Shona and Tony – who played Tyler Moon on the soap – have swirled in recent months, especially after the pair looked close after a night out and shared pictures on social media. However, neither have spoken publicly about the apparent courtship.
Shona was previously engaged to David Bracken, though confirmed on I'm a Celebrity last year that they had split up, confiding in Tom Read Wilson after a conversation in camp focusing on engagements and weddings.
"I just couldn’t be part of that conversation," she admitted. "It got too much. When I came in, I had just broken up with my fiancé. So, I just couldn’t do it.
"The thing is, I really want a family. I would love to be a mummy, and a wife, you know?"
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
