EastEnders spoilers follow.
The BBC has announced a change to tonight's EastEnders, confirming a last-minute schedule shift. Instead of airing on BBC One tonight at 8.30pm, the soap will now air on BBC Two at 9pm.
While current scheduling shake-ups have been due to coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, tonight's adjustment is due to the breaking news that Sir Keir Starmer resigned as the UK Prime Minister and leader of the Labour Party.
Starmer announced this morning that he was resigning, saying that the moment he walked up to Downing Street two years ago was the proudest of his life. He added that questions were being raised about whether he could lead the Labour Party into the next general election.

In tonight's episode, Bea Pollard continues to try to drive a wedge between Billy and Honey Mitchell. When Phil notices what's going on, he offers to pay Bea to leave Walford.
When Bea storms into The Vic and reveals Phil's offer, she claims that Billy put him up to it and accuses him of trying to seduce her.

"This is the worst-case scenario that anyone could be put in," said Emma Barton, who plays Honey. "It's so embarrassing for Honey, and it's humiliating as she feels she has been let down by the two closest people to her. Her husband, and what she believes is her best friend.
"She's thinking, 'why on earth would you announce this in a public place', and secondly, she's thinking ‘what is going on?!' Her world has come crashing down in an instant, and she doesn’t know what to do."
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
