EastEnders spoilers follow for Monday's episode (22 June), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn't yet aired on TV.
EastEnders airs an unexpected return for Karen Taylor tonight, following her Walford exit back in 2024. Unsure of Sheila Atkins' true intentions, Chelsea Fox reaches out for advice - with Karen issuing a stern warning about the newcomer.
In last week's episodes, Chelsea revealed that Gray Atkins' grandma had been trying to make contact with her son Jordan for years. Encouraged by Libby, Chelsea finally agreed to meet with Sheila, who claimed she had nothing to do with Gray since his arrest.

Though reluctant at first, Chelsea ultimately accepted a large sum of money from Sheila to pay for Jordan's private physiotherapy. However, it was later revealed that Sheila had lied about cutting ties with Gray, suggesting trouble ahead for the Foxes.
In tonight's episode, the family are pleased to welcome Jordan home from hospital, but Chelsea continues to worry about his recovery. She admits that she took £3,000 from Sheila who has been too "full on" ever since.

"She's texted me five times today, just trying to get involved," Chelsea says. "I don't know anything about her, Libby. I don't even know if she's telling the truth about not being in touch with Gray."
Chelsea decides to contact Karen, whose daughter Chantelle was married to and killed by Gray. Following Gray's arrest, Karen has been looking after their two children Mack and Mia away from the Square.
In a voicemail message, Chelsea shares that she has recently met Sheila and is unsure whether to let her into Jordan's life. She asks Karen if Sheila is still in touch with her grandson and to give her a call back with any advice.

Later, the Fox-Truemans are heartbroken to learn that none of them are a stem cell match for Denise. The news is too much for Chelsea to handle so she heads to the cafe where she bumps into the newcomer and breaks down in tears.
The pair have an emotional chat, with Sheila sharing her own experience with cancer. Afterwards, Chelsea asks if she'd like to meet Jordan, and they agree to introduce her as "mummy's friend".
Meanwhile, back at the house, as Jordan and Raymond play on Chelsea's phone, they accidentally answer a call from Karen. She advises Chelsea gives Sheila "a very wide berth", pointing out her closeness to Gray.
"She tried getting in touch with Mack and Mia a few times, but as far as I'm concerned, inviting her into your life is the same as inviting Gray," Karen warns. "Not sure if you can even hear me. Phone's being weird. Call me back if you need to."
With Chelsea currently unaware of Karen's warning, will she regret allowing her son to meet his great-grandmother?
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
