EastEnders’ Chelsea Fox makes a deal with the devil next week, as she agrees to accept money from evil Gray Atkins’ nan!
Chelsea is struggling to cope as she strives to do the best for her injured son Jordan, while reeling from her mum Denise’s cancer confession. With nowhere else to turn, she asks for help from someone she hoped she’d never have to – the gran of her abusive ex-husband…

"Chelsea vowed to banish evil Gray from her life forever," our Walford insider reminds us. "But with Jordan facing a long rehabilitation after his accident, there’s rising costs involved.
"And now with Denise’s news, the pressure is building up. Chelsea hates herself, but she has to do this."

As the week begins, it’s her sister Libby that Chelsea first turns to for support, calling her to let her know about Denise’s diagnosis. When Libby arrives, the siblings initially clash, but things quickly thaw.
Chelsea pours out her woes, before admitting that Gray’s nan has been sending cheques for Jordan, but she has never cashed them.
Later, as the strain on Chelsea becomes more evident and she becomes overwhelmed, Libby secretly contacts Sheila. A visit to Denise in hospital makes Libby more sure that she is doing the right thing, but when Chelsea later sees a text from Sheila on Libby’s phone, she’s furious.

However, a chat with Eve begins to make Chelsea see things differently, and she realises that for the sake of her son, she should consider turning to Sheila for support.
"Chelsea’s not making this decision lightly," notes our source. "And there are conditions attached. She has to know that Sheila is in no way involved with Gray, as she can’t risk any connection with that twisted man.
"But she has to do everything she can to help Jordan, so she needs to at least check out this option."

Nervous, Chelsea arrives to meet Sheila (played by Sheila Ruskin), with Libby by her side. She immediately probes Jordan’s great nan about her relationship with Gray and is overcome with relief when Sheila assures her that they are very much estranged.
"Sheila offers to help Chelsea out, and although it goes against her better instincts, Chelsea reluctantly agrees," reveals our insider. "But as she returns home, Chelsea is overwhelmed with guilt. Should she have stuck with her gut – and could this money from Sheila come at a price?"
