EastEnders spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on TV and streaming online.
EastEnders' Kat Slater has opened up about her fears as she and Alfie Moon receive some news about son Tommy.
In the latest instalment of the BBC One soap tonight, the duo are visited by Lesley the social worker, who told them that she felt the time was right, and that Tommy could come home. While Kat said she was fine with that, she looked uneasy.

Tommy has been living with Zack Hudson for the last few months, after a series of violent attacks on his family members.
Kat went to visit Bianca and after realising Bianca was too afraid to go outside after Reiss kept her captive, Kat opened up about her mindset.

"What if I can't do this? What if I mess up again?" Kat confided, adding: "I just... I don't think I'm ready."
Unfortunately for her, Alfie was in the corridor and had overheard everything. With her worries out in the open, Kat had no choice but to have the difficult conversation with him.

She admitted that if things went wrong again, she wasn't sure if they could handle it.
"We just don't cut it, Alfie — not as parents, anyway... We're the ones that screwed it up in the first place," Kat shared. "What if I set him off again, and he goes for the twins or the rest us of, like before?"
Alfie insisted that things have changed and if something bad starts to happen, they'd now be able to handle it. He then revealed that Tommy had already agreed, meaning him coming home had been confirmed.
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
