Former EastEnders star Shona McGarty has shown off a striking new look, several months after leaving the BBC One soap.

The actor, best known for playing Whitney Dean, usually sports straight black or red hair (although she did go blonde last year), but this time she's gone for something different.

As seen on Instagram, McGarty has undergone a hair transformation and is now sporting dark cherry-coloured locks. The colour is similar to one she once sported on the soap, but its now styled into tight, voluminous curls.
