EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders' Ruby Allen will get into a tricky situation to try and save the Walford market — and impress Martin Fowler in the process.

Ruby returned to the square last November, revealing to Martin that she gave birth to their son Roman whilst she was behind bars.

Whilst the pair have grown closer since Ruby's return, she's jealous of her ex-husband and Stacey Slater's bond. Meanwhile, Stacey is struggling with her feelings for Martin.

Meanwhile, Ruby is upset when she spots Martin and Stacey chatting happily about their projects for the market.

In scenes airing next week, Ruby informs Martin that Roman, who had been in hospital with autoimmune hepatitis, will be discharged soon. She senses that he is distracted and has too much on his plate and decides to step in to help.

Stressed as the meeting with the council is brought forward, Martin accepts Ruby's support.

However, her offer backfires when she ends up arguing with Councillor Barker.

Determined to make things easier for Martin, Ruby has an idea when she later bumps into the councillor at the Minute Mart.

Stacey, Martin and Ruby aren't the only players involved in a love triangle on EastEnders.

Recently, it was announced that the audience will choose whether Denise Fox will end up with Ravi Gulati, who she has rekindled her affair with, or her ex Jack Branning for the show's 40th anniversary interactive show.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
