EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders’ Phil Mitchell’s secret is set to be exposed in upcoming episodes, as Nicola gets him involved in a new scheme.
In recent weeks, the BBC soap has continued to explore Phil’s loneliness as he becomes more isolated, with both Sharon and Kat offering support to no avail.
Meanwhile, next week’s episodes will see Sharon and Teddy go on their first date, and while things go wrong, Sharon later invites him back to her house – leaving his ex-wife Nicola furious.

In scenes that will air early in December, as Nicola prepares to open the new bar (which she has named ‘Harry’s Barn’), Teddy is besotted after spending the night with Sharon.

The new couple decide to tell their exes that they are officially an item. After hearing the news, Nicola wants Phil to try and break up the relationship, but at the bar launch, Teddy warns her not to meddle.
Nicola can’t persuade Phil to get involved, so she heads to No.55 to try again, but she is surprised by what she finds. As Phil orders her to leave, Nicola promises that her discovery will stay a secret.

This is a bare-faced lie, as she immediately tells Sharon everything, and uses Phil’s secret to try and drive a wedge between her and Teddy. When concerned Sharon checks on Phil, he brushes off Nicola’s story, but she can tell something is wrong.
Meanwhile, Nicola continues to stir trouble at Harry’s Barn. She tells Teddy that she’s changed and wants to get their marriage back on track. To keep up the pressure, Nicola calls on Phil for help again.

Sharon is furious at Nicola for her interference. She and Phil head to Teddy’s house, where the family are celebrating the successful bar launch, and reveal to everyone what Nicola has been up to.
But after this dramatic stand-off, Phil becomes even further isolated from the Mitchells, and Jay notices this. He later tries to reach out to him, but Phil isn’t impressed by his attempts to find out what’s going on.

Jay gives Phil another chance to talk later in the week, but Phil can’t bring himself to confide in anyone. Meanwhile, Teddy asks Billy for advice on how to make amends with Phil, before inviting him round for Christmas Day again.
