EastEnders' Denise Fox makes a huge confession to her husband Jack Branning, as she continues to struggle in the wake of Christmas.

Denise's noticable change in behaviour has sparked concern with her loved ones in recent weeks, and will continue to be a talking point in upcoming episodes.

Having forgotten about her own birthday, Denise becomes overwhelmed with her family's celebrations and rushes out.

Jack follows and tries to find out what’s wrong, but Denise knows she can’t open up, which only drives a further wedge between them.

The Brannings all remain confused by her behaviour, but the final straw comes when Denise realises her young son Raymond is scared of her.

That night, Amy soothes Denise as she cries out in her sleep, but Jack isn’t there.

Denise wakes up screaming again, but Jack is still nowhere to be seen. When he finally gets home, he is short with Denise over missing the court hearing and makes excuses about work when she questions where he’s been all night.

Paranoid, Denise fears that Jack might be working on a case connected to the Christmas Day death and steals his phone to find out.

At the salon, Denise overreacts when Penny says she’s ringing Jack, and his phone rings on her desk.

When Jack arrives, a row breaks out between him and Denise again, leading Penny to discover that he had slept with someone else.

Following this, Denise seeks out an unlikely confidante.

Things then get even worse when Elaine decides to throw a psychic Madame Tellerina’s night at The Vic.

As Madame Tellerina takes the stage, Denise wanders into the pub and immediately sparks concern from the others as she looks terrible.

Kathy, Stacey, and Suki look on horrified as Denise volunteers to go on stage, hoping to get some answers to her despair.

Afterwards, Denise’s grip on reality slips even further.
