What to Read Next
Viewers know that Whitney and Zack have just began their fostering journey and therefore the news came as a surprise to both of them.
Whitney, in particular, has struggled to process the fact that she was pregnant again and shared her fears with Zack about history repeating itself.
Whitney was so fearful about suffering another loss that she decided she didn't want to continue with the pregnancy at all.
Despite being devastated by the decision, Zack reluctantly suggested booking an appointment at the clinic in the latest visit to the Square, which is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
A confused Whitney later headed to the allotment to visit Peach’s tree, where she was interrupted by Yolande.
As they began to talk, Yolande commended Whitney on turning her pain into something positive, and shared her own experience on fostering.
Whitney eventually broke down and told Yolande she was pregnant again.
She shared her feelings with Yolande, who offered some inspiring words of encouragement – reminding Whitney that she was not on her own as she had Zack.
With this in mind, Whitney made a decision and headed home, where she told an elated Zack that she wanted to keep the baby.
It was confirmed last year that Shona McGarty, who plays Whitney, will be leaving the show after 15 years.
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
