EastEnders will air another devastating setback for Linda Carter in the lead-up to Christmas.
Linda has recently suffered an alcohol relapse, struggling to cope with the ongoing presence of rapist Dean Wicks.
Prior to Dean's return, Linda was already facing a difficult time over the festive season, as it's her first Christmas without Mick.
Upcoming scenes will see Linda hit with another cruel twist, which will have huge repercussions ahead of the Christmas episodes.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media at a recent EastEnders press event, Kellie Bright – who plays Linda – said: "She gets the text from Mick, or so she thinks.

"But when Linda arrives to meet Mick, it's not him, is it? It's Dean.
"There is a moment between the two of them and actually what Linda thinks is going to be the outcome of that conversation, is not what the outcome of that conversation is. Let's just say it leaves her not in the place where she wants to be."
Kellie also opened up about her gratitude for being part of 'The Six' story, in the wake of co-star Danny Dyer's exit last year.
She said: "For me, the meeting came about a month after Danny [Dyer] had left, and I definitely felt a little bit like, 'Oh, I don't know what I'm going to do now, who do I get to play with, and I wonder what the future holds for me here'.
"We'd had our separate storylines but it was a strange time. "
Kellie added: "When we had this meeting, I literally went, 'Oh, I am excited'. I really did feel excited about it and it was so nice to do it together.
"The other women are beyond brilliant in every way – not just at what they do on screen, but just holding each other up behind the scenes as well because it has been a lot.
"I really do feel like we have stood shoulder to shoulder and really looked after each other and that has been amazing. I don't know when it's going to come to an end but I don't want it to end. I miss them when I'm not with them."
