EastEnders will finally revisit the twist involving Dotty Cotton's paternity next week.
Dotty's world was turned upside down last Christmas, when her mum Sandy told her that Rocky was her biological father – and not Nasty Nick.
Since then, the story has remained largely unresolved, with Dotty's boyfriend Vinny being the only person on the Square who currently knows about this.

That all looks set to change though, when Dotty and Vinny split up in the wake of her betrayal with Finlay.

Upcoming scenes will see Dotty spend the night with Finlay, having failed to develop a romantic connection with Vinny – who she lives with.
Dotty's living situation will remain uncertain next week, as Vinny kicks her out of the Panesars'.
She begins living at the Beales', but this quickly goes awry when Kathy wrongly blames her for creating a mess around the house and insists she leave.
With Dotty at a loose end, she turns to Bernie, who reminds her that Dot still owns Sonia's house. After finding the courage to ask Sonia about moving back in there, Sonia declines.
Despite turning her down, Sonia takes the opportunity to remind Rocky that Dotty is his responsibility, and urges him to fight for her.

Taking Sonia's words on board, Rocky persuades Kathy to let Dotty stay. However, she quickly starts to regret her decision when the situation in the house remains strained.
Things get worse Dotty implies to Kathy that Rocky is hiding something from her.
Dotty later overhears Rocky telling Kathy about a lady he was engaged to but walked out on. With her thoughts returning to Sandy's bombshell at Christmas, Dotty considers telling him the truth but loses her nerve.
Dotty's problems soon intensify when Ash confronts her about what she’s done to Vinny.
Rocky and Vinny break things up, but a riled-up Vinny loses his temper and tells Rocky that he is Dotty's real father.
Stunned following the revelation, Rocky tries to contact Dotty – who is keen to keep her distance.
Bernie encourages Dotty to face Rocky, but what does he have to say?
