EastEnders teases Janine being caught out in Frankie scene

EastEnders has teased Janine Butcher being caught out due to an incriminating photo.

The cliffhanger in Thursday's (September 1) episode saw Frankie sharing a photo of herself with the rest of the family, not realising that Janine could be seen in the background dumping her clothes from the night of the crash.

Most of the rest of the episode had Janine continuing to be one step ahead of love rival Linda, after recently blackmailing Jada to report her to social services.

With Jada having now left Walford without telling police the truth, Linda still tried to clear her name by revealing to police all about the faked social services call.

Over at the Vic, Mick was surprised by Janine suggesting she move in with Scarlett so they can be one big family. Eventually, Mick agreed but this is where Janine started to lose her grip.

Mick returned later with baby Annie, having agreed to become a temporary guardian for Linda's baby daughter. Janine was so furious about having Annie in the house that she didn't catch on when Frankie showed the two photos to the children.

It remains to be seen whether one of the Carters will finally realise Janine's treachery by taking a closer look at this photo of Frankie.

Viewers will know that Rose Ayling-Ellis is set for a dark storyline about consent before exiting the soap as Frankie, so it might be up to another Walford resident to catch out Janine.

Sid Owen is also confirmed to be returning to Walford as Janine's brother Ricky Butcher, guaranteeing the autumn will be a dramatic period for both the Butcher and Carter families.
