EastEnders' Bernadette Taylor is about to make a life-changing promise to Stuart and Rainie Highway.
In scenes set to air next week, she meets up with the couple, adamant that it's her body to do with what she pleases, and her choice to become a surrogate.
Emotional, she says she won't break her promise, but how will Stuart and Rainie react to this and will their arrangement go ahead?

Previously discussing her character's big storyline, actress Clair Norris acknowledged the Taylor family's struggles with money.

"For Bernie, she takes it upon herself to get money, and even though she works at the call centre, it's just not enough, so she tries to find another way," Norris said. "Through hearsay and gossip on the Square, and what Tiffany went through, she finds out that Rainie and Stuart are still looking for a surrogate.
"She decides that this will be the best way to get a lot of money that could change the Taylors' lifestyle and living conditions, that's why she goes to them and wants to be their surrogate."
Norris added: "Bernie, no matter what, sees the good in people and she sees a couple that want a baby. Bernie sees how determined they are to find the right surrogate so she knows that this is really important to them and they are not playing games."
EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, April 26 at 8.05pm on BBC One.
