Callum Highway has been arrested in a shocking EastEnders episode.
The yuletide twist could throw a huge wrench into Callum's (Tony Clay) plan to join the police force — an ambition that has caused major complications in his relationship with Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden).
On the heels of being dumped by Ben last week, a despondent Callum reunited with his former fiancée Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) to reflect on their recent troubles.
The mood turned from melancholic to haunted when Whitney once again spotted Leo King (Tom Wells) watching her from afar, and she explained to Callum that the police would do nothing to help her.
"He knows the law, so he talked himself out of it," Whit guessed.
While Whitney convinced Callum to leave with her, Leo was confronted by his co-worker Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) and fired from their law firm.

"You can't get rid of me," Leo threatened. "The police, they haven't pressed charges so... unless you're going to hit me, I'd suggest that it's you who gets the message."
Later at the Vic, Gray reported to Whitney that Leo had no plans to leave Walford any time soon. Soon though, a furious Callum took matters into his own hands.
Callum charged out into the Square to sucker punch Leo, then pummelled him with more punches and stomps. Unfortunately, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and one of his old cop buddies came around the corner at that exact moment.
They had no choice but to place Callum under arrest for assault and bodily harm, while Leo stumbled back up — almost with a smile as he wiped the blood from his face.
EastEnders continues on Christmas Eve (December 24) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Callum's troubles continue with a heartbreaking run-in with former flame Ben.
