EastEnders bosses predict viewers will be "transfixed" by the long-awaited reunion of Sean Slater and mum Jean this spring.
Legendary cast member-turned-Hollywood star Rob Kazinsky will soon be returning to Albert Square for the first time in a decade as part of Jean's ongoing ovarian cancer storyline.
Sean's reappearance is teased in a new behind-the-scenes video from EastEnders, where producer Jon Sen gives an indication of what the mother-and-son reunion will mean for Jean.
"We wanted to show just how close that bond is between mother and son," Sen reveals.
"And we're telling the story that, yes, Jean's cancer has been terrible for her but, in a way, has been one of the best things that's ever happened to her because it's shown her her inner-courage and it's brought back her son.
"When you see the bond between Sean and Jean, but also the real chemistry, the on-screen chemistry between Gillian [Wright] and Rob, you can't take your eyes away from it. It's transfixing."

Last week, Jean Slater actress Gillian Wright revealed that she was actually the one to pitch Sean Slater's return during one of her meetings with EastEnders' new senior producer Kate Oates.
"Kate asked me various questions such as 'What would be on Jean’s wish list?' and that’s when I said Jean would want to find Sean," she recalled. "So it was a discussion really, it was great."
It certainly looks like Sean's reappearance in Walford will be eventful. Filming pictures shot back in January revealed that Sean will get into a graveside brawl with Jack Branning once he's back in town!
