EastEnders' Rainie Branning will be left devastated after making a shock discovery about her husband Max next week.
Max (Jake Wood) is currently having some time away from Walford with his brother Jack, but his absence – and lack of contact – has left Rainie feeling increasingly neglected.
Things will start to look up for Rainie (Tanya Franks) in next week's scenes as she excitedly prepares for Max's return, only to be left disappointed when Jack comes home without him.
Jack explains that Max is planning to stay away for a little longer, but Rainie is horrified when she later comes across a picture of him with a new woman on Jack's phone.
After learning that Max is now seeing someone else, Rainie makes more upsetting discoveries when she realises that she no longer has control of the car lot.
As Rainie struggles to cope with Max's rejection, Jack grows concerned when he later finds her nursing a drink. Is she heading on another downward spiral?
