Coronation Street spoilers follow from Wednesday's episode (21 January), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't yet aired on ITV1.
Lisa and Carla will get one step closer to a reconciliation tonight. In the soap's latest episode, a hopeful Lisa will extend an olive branch to her ex-fiancée.
In the spirit of grand gestures, Lisa has Ryan deliver a note to Carla, inviting her to have lunch at the Bistro. Unbeknownst to Lisa, Carla is already having a scheduled lunch with clients, and before she can tell Lisa she’s been held up, she's asked to put her phone away.
As Carla gets into business with her clients, a rejected Lisa believes she's been ghosted and orders more wine at the Bistro. Devastated, a drunken Lisa barges her way into the hotel restaurant later that day and berates Carla, before throwing up on the carpet.
It may be a bumpy ride, but by the end of the episode, things look up for 'Swarla' as an attentive Carla is seen looking after Lisa as she lies with her head in her lap. As Lisa tells Carla how much she loves her, Carla strokes her hair and assures Lisa that she loves her too.
Following a will-they-won't-they storyline, which recently saw Lisa and Carla torn apart by the villainous Becky, Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks has teased a “romantic spring” for the pair.

"Obviously, there's a lot to get past, but they love each other, and that love never faltered throughout at all," Brooks explained.
"I think the love remains strong – it was the circumstances that got in the way. Now that the ghost of Becky is finally being put to bed, they can move forward with their lives, and they can look forward to their future together."

Promising a "happy ever after" for Lisa and Carla, the producer added: "They were engaged, so wedding bells are certainly ringing in the not-too-distant future, and they'll get their happy ever after.
"They will get the chance to finally be free from Becky and be free from the drama that surrounded that story, and be happy and content with each other. So it's going to be a romantic spring for Carla and Lisa, which will make many people smile, I imagine!"
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
