Coronation Street star Sally Ann Matthews has calmed fans' fears that she could be exiting the soap as Jenny Bradley.
Following a recent tabloid report that suggested she may be departing, Jenny has responded to worried viewers on X.
"JENNY CONNOR LEAVING CORRIE WTF IS GOING ON WITH THIS SHOW @SallyAnMatthews," one wrote, with Sally replying: "Says who?????".

It comes after Sally wrote in a previous post (via The Sun): "Yep. I'm defo in denial," which raised some concern about her future on the show.
However, it appears that this may have been referring to the exit of co-star Charlotte Jordan as Daisy Midgeley, to whom she is close.

"Thankfully most of you got it!!" she wrote amid speculation, later telling a fan that "you’re going to see [Charlotte] being brilliant in LOTS of other things though".
Charlotte confirmed her exit from the soap last month, saying in a statement: "My time at Coronation Street is something I’ll always cherish. After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities.

"It’s been a privilege to be part of a wonderful institution with even more wonderful colleagues who have taught me so much."
Fellow star Julia Goulding (Shona Platt) recently joked that she is "furious" with Charlotte for leaving, adding: "All my mates are going."
Further addressing fellow star Paddy Bever's departure as Max Turner, Julia told Digital Spy and other media: "I'm devastated! I love Paddy so much. I mean, I could actually be his mother, it's ridiculous.
"I think he's got a bright future ahead of him. I would love to see him, at some point, maybe come back, but I don't know. I don't know where his life is going to take him. It's really sad to lose him."
