Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has revealed he received a surprise windfall from a fan in their will.
The star opened up about landing the £12,000 from a New Zealand postman, whom he had never met but was a fan of the soap.
"Someone died and I was in their will," he said on his On the Sofa podcast with co-stars Ben Price and Colson Smith.

Ben then said: "I was fuming, because I was convinced that it was a scam and I said, 'That's a scam, you're getting f**king scammed – I hope you're getting scammed because I'll be so f**ked off if you're not getting f**king scammed'. And he wasn't."
Jack said he had been left "thousands" as Colson shared that his co-star spent money on a holiday to Florida, Jack joking: "It was one of the worst days of my life."

Elsewhere, last month Jack revealed how he changed on-screen mum Gail Rodwell's exit scenes, revealing he urged bosses to write an extra scene featuring the Platt family for star Helen Worth's final day of filming.
"We had a little do on her last scene. Originally, her last scene filming was a scene with me and Julia [Goulding, who plays Shona] in the Platts'," he told Digital Spy and other press.
"I went: 'No, no, her last scene has to be just all of us. Like, we all just have to be in the Platt house'. They said: 'There isn't one. There isn't one where you're all together'.
"I went: 'Well, f**king write it! You know, you can'. So they went: 'Yeah, we can'. So they did – they wrote one."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
