Coronation Street's Abi Webster is set to receive a nasty shock over son Alfie as she continues to struggle with the aftermath of Mason Radcliffe's death.

Abi recently found the teen bloodied after being stabbed, and despite trying to keep Mason alive, she ultimately wasn't able to save him.

She has been deeply affected by the experience, and is taken back to the trauma of losing her own son Seb Franklin in 2021.

Abi has also been experiencing visions of her late son – with star Harry Visinoni returning for the scenes – and her loved ones have been concerned amid her fragile mental state.

While looking at her reflection, Abi sees Seb again, and pretends that she's tired so that she can head to bed. Nevertheless, Kevin is worried.

Abi experiences a panic attack in the car on the way to collect Kevin from his ultrasound, Alfie in tow, as she spots where Mason died at the precinct.

She gets out of the car and is left transfixed, visualising herself cradling Seb's body before running off consumed by terror and guilt.

In the ultrasound waiting room, Kevin is surprised to see Debbie, and later finds Abi curled up at home. He informs her that his ultrasound results will be through in a few weeks.

He then offers to pick Alfie up from the childminder, which leaves Abi looking shocked, while Debbie speaks to Ronnie about her concerns over Abi's mental state and Alfie's safety.

Later on, Abi finds Kevin seated with a social worker, and is left angry as she suspects Debbie reported her – but is she correct, and could this also affect Alfie?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
