Former Coronation Street star Shayne Ward has paid a tribute to Helen Worth ahead of her soap exit.
Ward, who played Aidan Connor on the ITV show between 2015 and 2018, celebrated the Gail Rodwell actress.
"It's a huge loss because she's phenomenal," Ward told The Sun. "And I was very, very blessed to have done lots of scenes with her. And I loved it. I absolutely loved it."

"When you're in her presence as well, she's so sweet on and off camera and a joy to watch on camera, especially in those scenes because you learn so much from her. So I know that she'll be a huge loss," he said.
Earlier this year, Worth shared she'd be leaving Corrie after five decades in the role of Gail. Her exit storyline will involve a wedding and will tie in with a huge moment for her family, the Platts.

"I think it's hitting a point, I guess, with Coronation Street as well of that generation that we've watched on screen for 20, 30 years. And, you know, it's hard to see really because I've always known her to be on the show," Ward commented.

"And, you know, especially for the Platt family in general, like, you know, she'll be hugely missed. And she's such an iconic character to go. But she's served the Cobbles very well and she'll be missed."
In June, Worth shared a statement to announce her exit and reflecting on her time on Corrie.
"This year felt like the perfect time to leave the show after celebrating 50 years in the most wonderful job on the most wonderful street in the world," said Helen in a statement.
"I made the decision at the start of the year and spoke to the producers who were very kind and understanding.
