Coronation Street spoilers follow from Wednesday's episode (December 18), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX but hasn't yet aired on ITV1.

Coronation Street's Leanne Battersby has found a new way to torment her sister Toyah.

Leanne once again confided in Tracy McDonald in Wednesday's episode as she enjoyed making her sibling suffer.

Viewers have seen Leanne go out for revenge since discovering that Toyah and Nick Tilsley have continued their relationship behind her back.

Her long-term plan is to set Toyah up for fraud after opening a bank account in her name, but she's determined to have more fun in the meantime.

The show's latest episode saw Nick head off on holiday to Tenerife with his son Sam Blakeman.

Once Nick had gone, the stage was set for some clever mind games as Leanne subtly tried to make Toyah feel insecure about her relationship.

Leanne lied that Nick had asked her to be his plus-one at Gail's upcoming wedding, so Toyah would have to hold the fort by working at the Bistro on Christmas Day.

Using two phones, Leanne also faked a call to Nick and pretended to be flirting with him while Toyah was in earshot.

Once alone with Tracy at the Bistro bar, Leanne confirmed that this was all part of her master plan to make life difficult for Toyah.

Impressed, Tracy gushed: "You crafty cow. Do you know something? I think you might be more evil than me."

Leanne replied: "Yeah, well, nobody screws me over, Tracy. Especially not my own family."

Previewing this storyline, Georgia Taylor – who plays Toyah – recently teased: "Nick's been away with Sam. She's really missed him but in the meantime Leanne has been really messing with them both, sending text messages which we may later find out not to be true, so Toyah is desperate to see Nick and make sure they're still on track."
