Coronation Street spoilers follow from Monday's episode (December 16), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX but hasn't yet aired on ITV1.

Coronation Street's Gemma Winter-Brown has revealed a dramatic new hair transformation in the soap's latest episode.

Gemma has recently been off screen while she was away in Portsmouth, but she made her comeback in today's episode (December 16), which is already available to watch on ITVX.

Gemma's new hairstyle was revealed when she was seen sorting laundry at home after returning from her holiday, when she pointed out to husband Chesney that he "hadn't said one thing" about her new look.

The couple went on to disagree about what to do about the situation with Les' death and the compensation offer from his workplace, with Gemma pointing out that they were "skint" and needed the money, despite Chesney's desire to get "justice for Les" over his suspicious death.

With Chesney torn between trying to expose what really happened to Les, and his family's desperate need for the money they could get by keeping quiet, could the situation continue to cause tension between Chesney and Gemma?
