Coronation Street's Shona Platt has discovered the truth about her husband David's deceit.
David's big secret has been exposed by his stepson Max Turner, setting the stage for a big Christmas storyline involving the Platts.
Wednesday's episode saw David confide in Max about how he intercepted visiting orders that Shona's son Clayton Hibbs had sent from prison.
David also confirmed that he was the mystery person who went to see Clayton at the jail, shortly before the killer tried to take his own life.

Max seemed willing to keep the truth under wraps, but his stance changed when Shona stepped up her desperate attempts to get answers from the prison governor.
Shona headed to the jail and lost her temper by shoving the governor when he wouldn't reveal the truth about the missing emails and Clayton's visitor.
Max, who'd followed Shona, stepped in to set the record straight so that she'd calm down and stop attacking the jail staff.
He explained: "It's not them you should be having a go at – they are not the ones lying. David is.
"He obviously didn't want anything bad to happen, but he didn't want you to see Clayton. So he deleted the emails, he made sure the rest went to junk, and he binned the visiting orders."

Back on the Street, a furious showdown followed between the Platts. Before long, an under-siege David was also forced to confess that he visited Clayton and told him that Shona didn't want to see him.
The angry row was interrupted as DC Kit Green arrived to arrest Shona on suspicion of assaulting the prison governor.
Shona was later released without charge, but she refused to go home to David and asked cabbie Steve McDonald to drive her back into town instead.
The mystery of Shona's secret night away will loom large over the next few weeks, with recent spoiler pictures hinting that she might cheat on David.

Coronation Street's new producer Kate Brooks recently told Digital Spy and other press: "The Platts are at the heart of Christmas. You've got David and Shona – and David has made massive mistakes in hiding visiting orders from Clayton.
"This goes on to have massive consequences and Shona hits that self-destruct button in the build-up to Christmas and makes some really terrible judgement calls."
She added: "What is important for me about David and Shona is that they can both really mess up, but that love that they have is so strong. But can they overcome that? I don't know. All those secrets come to the forefront on Christmas Day."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
