Coronation Street and Hollyoaks star Lucy-Jo Hudson has shut down speculation about her relationship with her ex-husband Alan Halsall.

Hudson and Halsall met on the Corrie set while playing Katy Harris and Tyrone Dobbs respectively, and got together in 2005.

They married in 2009 and welcomed daughter Sienna-Rae in 2013, before the couple divorced in 2018.

After Halsall entered the jungle for the latest series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, which kicked off on ITV last night (November 17), tabloid rumours had been published which claimed that Hudson would be voting for her ex to go through the Bushtucker Trials.

However, Hudson has shared a video on Instagram in which she denied the reports, captioning the clip: "Just wanted to put the record straight".

"First of all, me and my ex have been divorced seven years. I actually can't believe it's a topic of conversation, because it's pretty boring now," she said.

Adding that she and Halsall "share Sienna 50/50", she explained that the pair are "constantly communicating" in order to give their daughter the best life possible.

"We don't want her missing out, so we change things for each other," she said.

"Second of all, myself and Lewis (Devine, Hudson's partner) will be sat down with Sienna watching the jungle. We wish him nothing but the best.

"We are going to be there for Sienna supporting her through this journey – cause, yes, she's going to miss her dad. He's in her life all the time, so this is quite a strange thing.

"He is who he is to you guys, but for Sienna, it's her dad, and we're supporting her through that."

As the launch show was beginning, Hudson also shared a video and photo of Sienna dancing excitedly as she prepared to watch her dad arrive in the jungle.

Last night's I'm a Celebrity launch show saw Halsall arrive in the jungle and become joint camp leader with singer Tulisa.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
