Coronation Street's Carla Connor sparks suspicion over her wellbeing next week after receiving a mysterious letter.
Carla's mood is visibly affected when she receives an unexpected delivery in the post.
The new storyline unfolds as Ryan Connor calls at the factory with a letter that has arrived for Carla back at the flat. Ryan brings it over as the official-looking envelope hints at something important inside.
Carla reads it and her face falls as a realisation dawns on her.

Later at the café, Ryan confides in Carla's friend DS Lisa Swain about what's happening.
Ryan speculates that Carla is troubled as she's due to face a plea hearing over the recent incident where she knocked a young thug off his bike with her car door.

Earlier this year, Vicky Myers – who plays DS Swain – called for her character's friendship with Carla to be further explored in the coming months.
In an exclusive chat with Digital Spy, Vicky explained: "I think it's really quite lovely and it'd be interesting for the two of them to have more of a relationship – as a friendship.
"They're both of a similar age and they're vulnerable in a similar way. They've both built up this façade and protective mechanism, because ultimately they're scared of being hurt.
"I think that would make an interesting dynamic, because they're quite similar but also very, very different."

She continued: "I think it'd be really nice if Lisa could go to The Rovers with Carla and have some red wine. I think it'd be nice to see that side of both of them.
"It'd be good to see Swain in the community pub and what she's like within that community, if she's ever off-duty!"
