Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote has addressed her off-screen death as Katy Armstrong, a character she played until 2015.
Fans of the ITV soap will remember learning of Katy's tragic passing in a car accident back in 2017.
Her death was not shown on screen, but Chesney Brown, who shared son Joseph with Katy, was seen learning the sad news while he was ill in hospital.
While running a recent Q&A on Instagram Stories, Foote was asked if she felt "disappointed" by her character's off-air demise.

"I wouldn't say disappointed at all," she wrote back. "I'm one of those people when I leave a job I'm ready for the next adventure.

"Corrie was an amazing nearly 5 years for me, I learned so much and will forever be grateful for the show.
She added: "Would I have gone back if I could? I can't answer that because I will never know.
"But the time I had there was a special time in my life and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to have played not only one but two roles in the show. It's iconic."
Prior to portraying Katy on Corrie, Foote appeared in one episode as Jess Burrows in early 2010 – viewing the Platt house with her parents when it was up for sale.

Following her departure from Weatherfield, the soap star was forced to deny claims that she'd been sacked for refusing to take part in a storyline that would have seen Katy converting to Islam.
Responding on X (formerly known as Twitter), Foote labelled the speculation "fake shit" before adding: "As an actress I would have jumped at the chance to play such a diverse storyline. This was not the reason behind me leaving the show I loved and cherished for 5 years."
A spokesperson for Corrie also told Digital Spy: "Georgia never refused to do any storyline during her time in the show."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
