Daisy Midgley has faced heartbreak in Coronation Street over the return of Bethany Platt.
The special Sunday episode (December 31) saw Daisy determined to save her relationship with Daniel Osbourne, only to be thwarted by the arrival of his former flame Bethany.
Daniel got the surprise of a lifetime when he spotted Bethany arriving back on the cobbles, and it wasn't long before they were back in one another's arms.

Meanwhile, Jenny Connor had encouraged her stepdaughter to get the New Year kiss she wanted with Daniel so Daisy set off to find him.

Daisy was not at all prepared when she went calling at 19a Victoria Street but was horrified as Bethany opened up the door only wearing a towel.
The awkward situation got even worse when Daniel walked out in his pants as well, sending Daisy away in a hurry to cover the heartbreak.
The episode came to a close with Jenny breaking away from other Weatherfield residents celebrating the New Year to ask Daisy how it had gone with Daniel
"It didn't [happen]," Daisy sighed.
As a tearful Daisy walked off on her own, her stepmum Jenny joined the other New Year revelers. The episode finished with Daisy staring at the others happily ringing in the New Year while she felt miserable.
Charlotte Jordan recently hinted that Daisy will not react well as she adjusts to love rival Bethany living in Weatherfield once again.
"She’s beautiful, she’s been told how successful Bethany is living it up in London and Daisy is a naturally jealous, territorial person," Charlotte said.
"Bethany had that connection with Daniel when he was at his most vulnerable which will instantly put Daisy on high alert and I have to say it’s a relationship I’m really looking forward to playing around with."
