Coronation Street has confirmed a new kiss scene for Alya Nazir and Ryan Connor.

The pair have been broken up since 2021 thanks to Daisy Midgeley's interference in their relationship, though Ryan admitted last year that he wanted to rekindle things.

While Alya was less keen, some upcoming scenes seem to reveal that she's since had a change of heart.

Alya bids Zeedan farewell as he departs for London, only to run into Jayden, a client at the solicitor's company who has been accused of stabbing someone.

Back at No.6, Ryan draws Alya in for a comforting hug, which quickly turns into a passionate kiss. Will the former couple get back together?

Speaking about whether the duo could ever reconnect following their split in 2021, Sair Khan, who plays Alya, admitted that there was some potential for a reunion.

"On the face of it they're not well-suited at all, he's a bit of a joker, sort of a lost puppy but I think that complements Alya really well," she shared at the time. "She can be a bit highly strung, maybe a bit stuck-up at times. He really brings out the softer, more playful side to her.

"She's had to be so tough for so long she’s struggled to see the lighter side of life, so I think they are a good pairing."
