Coronation Street star Rebecca Ryan is expecting her first child with husband Dan Acraman.

The soap star shared the wonderful news on Instagram that she is pregnant three months after tying the knot with Dan back in September.

Alongside a photo showing her baby bump, the actress wrote: "I thought this year couldn’t get any better after marrying the man of my dreams, but it turns out it can… 🤍 Can’t wait to become a mummy in 2023 x"

Several of Rebecca Ryan's Coronation Street co-stars offered congratulations, including her real-life brother Jack James Ryan — who plays Jacob Hay in the ITV soap.

"I’m gonna be an uncle," he declared.

Jack James' on-screen love interest Elle Mulvaney (aka Amy Barlow) added: "So so happy for you!!!"

As mentioned, Rebecca and Dan wed in September after having to initially delay their wedding because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Husband and Wife 24.09.22 – The best day of our lives," she wrote on Instagram following the nuptials.

Rebecca recently wrapped up a short stint in the cobbles as Lydia Chambers, for which she earned an Inside Soap Award nomination for Best Villain.

Lydia had tried to sabotage former flame Adam Barlow's relationship with Sarah Platt by secretly harassing the couple and eventually pushing Adam off a balcony. In spite of that, Adam and Lydia made peace before she left the cobbles.

Rebecca has also starred in Waterloo Road and Casualty, as well as playing Debbie Gallagher in Shameless and appearing in Doctors.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
