Coronation Street to revisit Sinead's death story as Daisy becomes insecure

Coronation Street will revisit Sinead Osbourne's death storyline in upcoming scenes as Daisy becomes insecure with Daniel.

Back in 2019, Daniel's wife Sinead tragically passed away following a long battle with cervical cancer.

Although Daniel has struggled to come to terms with Sinead's death over the years, he's now in a relationship with Daisy. But the loss of his late wife will be brought up again when he asks Daisy to move in with him properly.

After Daniel asks Daisy the big question, she confides in Jenny and admits that she'd rather they found their own place because she doesn't feel comfortable knowing the flat holds memories of Sinead.

Despite Sinead's emotional departure from the ITV soap three years ago, actress Katie McGlynn remains good friends with her former on-screen husband Rob Mallard.

The pair reunited at an awards ceremony in July, and Katie posted a sweet picture of them together on social media with the caption: "Always nice bumping into your widower at an awards ceremony."

Meanwhile, Rob previously opened up about their close friendship, explaining that the final scenes they shot together had strengthened their bond.

"We were mates anyway, although I think that final storyline cemented our friendship; if you do a story like that together, you naturally become very close," he explained.

"We can sometimes go six weeks without seeing each other, but I always think the test of a true friendship is when it doesn't matter how long it's been since you last saw each other, it's like no time has passed at all. And that's what it's like with me and Katie."
