Coronation Street's Debbie to draw Ryan into her scheming

Debbie Webster is in a tough spot in Coronation Street, and next week sees her go back to her scheming ways.

Following the accident at the hotel where Ed Bailey received an electrical shock, Debbie's financial situation has taken a hit and she's unsure if she will be able to dig her way out of it.

Needing to get a payout to Ed before things get any worse, she starts coming up with ideas, and Ed's brother Ronnie suggests she should try themed nights at the Bistro.

But her plans to host a 'Psychic Night' and 'Casino Night' do not go down well with Leanne, who believes a 'Psychic Night' has the potential to scam innocent people out of their hard-earned money.

But Debbie is not one to listen to reason, and she goes full steam ahead with the idea.

Needing someone to confide in, Debbie tells Ronnie just how bad things are for her, and that she sees no way out other than bankruptcy or an insurance job.

But Debbie is given a bit of hope when she overhears Ryan Connor telling the psychic how much debt he is in.

Debbie thinks she may have an idea of how she can use that to get out of her financial hole, but what does she have planned for Ryan?

Corrie's nominees include Georgia Taylor, Millie Gibson and Sally Carman, who are all up for best actress, while the best actor nominees include David Neilson, Michael Le Vell and Mikey North. They'll be going up against stars from EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks in the major awards categories.

There is also a new category this year, the All-Time Icon award, where viewers are invited to submit their choice for the best ever soap character.
