Coronation Street's Kelly Neelan fears for her life in new plot

Coronation Street's Kelly Neelan finds herself in even more life-threatening danger — this time thanks to Rick's associate Kieron.

In episodes to air on Friday night, July 15, Kelly (Millie Gibson) will be captured by Kieron — an old client of her dad's — after she attempts to pay him back his money with a stack of cash she found that belonged to her dad. Kelly hoped that the good deed would make up for her dad Rick's (Greg Wood) crimes.

However, Gary (Mikey North) finds out what Kelly is up to and tries to warn her against it, knowing the danger she could face. Gary demands that she stays out of it and avoids getting involved in the criminal underworld of Weatherfield, but stubborn Kelly won't listen.

After a dramatic showdown between the pair, Kelly ultimately seals her own fate by ignoring Gary’s words and meeting up with one of Rick’s old cronies, Kieron.

She is kidnapped and locked in a dingy cellar. Here she stays, terrified that her life could be about to come to an end.

Gibson said, “Kelly is distraught. Every time she gets herself into these sorts of situations she feels like she has hit rock bottom, but then another situation comes around. So it’s a constant cycle of awful situations for her."

Gibson added, "Kelly is fearing for her life – she knows what her dad was capable of so she is terrified of what his enemies could do.”

Kelly's actions have put her in this life-threatening situation, and it remains to be seen if she can find a way out of it or if, indeed, this is the end for the character.
