Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street star Rachel Leskovac has revealed how Natasha Blakeman copes with the shock kidnap of her son Sam.
Sam gets drawn into Sharon Bentley's evil plans in Friday's hour-long episode (May 21), as she arranges for him to be snatched by a heavy who's working for Harvey Gaskell.
Sam is lured into a van by the criminal, who then locks him inside and speeds off. The schoolboy is subsequently used as leverage by Harvey, who wants Leanne Battersby and Simon Barlow to withdraw their police statements against him.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media, Rachel revealed that it will take Natasha a while to find out the sinister truth behind Sam's disappearance.

She explained: "Natasha is not worried that it's to do with the drugs trial at first. For any parent when you lose your child, even if it's for 30 seconds, its 'flipping heck'.
"Natasha is not thinking that she needs to call the police straight away as Sam has a track record. She doesn't think initially it's something sinister, but it isn't too long before panic sets in, as it would with any parents.
"They send out a search party and call the police. Then it's just a case of a gruelling 24 hours or so."

She continued: "The more time that passes, the more you're thinking the worst, even though you don't want to. Then Natasha starts to get really angry with Nick and blames him. She suggests it's to do with the drugs stuff, which he denies.
"Nick has come back to the Platt house and he denies it when the police turn up. She's thinking: 'Please don't let this be the news no-one wants to hear'.
"Natasha and Nick are not a team on this. Natasha is focused on trying to find Sam, but they're not in it together. Shona tries to help and Sarah. She's just angry with Nick because there's something about it that feels wrong."

As next week's episodes progress, Natasha discovers the full truth when Shona Platt lets it slip. This leaves Natasha with a tough decision to make over how much she should tell the police.
Further details on the story, including whether Sam returns home safely, are currently being kept under wraps.
Speaking about working with Jude Riordan, who plays Sam, Rachel added: "The thing about Jude is, anyone who meets him instantly falls for him. He's so charismatic and full of energy and creativity. All he wants to do is make you smile and make you laugh.
"As soon as I see him, my heart melts. He's an absolute professional, he knows everyone's words and I think he's had probably the most dialogue out of all of us in the scenes so far! Sometimes it's not easy either, if it's remembering facts and figures, which is always tricky to do!
"Jude is always on it and he's really easy to work with. If a director might throw something new in on the day, straight away he's on it."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.30pm on ITV.
