Coronation Street star Patti Clare had fans doing a double take when she showed off a very glamorous transformation on A Christmas Chase: Celebrity Special on Monday (December 21).
The actress looked a million miles away from her usually dressed down character Mary Taylor as she showed off her glam side. Patti wore a formal purple velvet blazer and matching dress with her brunette hair in curls.
Many fans flocked to Twitter to share their disbelief, with some admitting they didn't even recognise her.

"Mary scrubs up well," one viewer wrote.
"[Didn't] recognise Patti," another confessed.

The special originally aired on ITV in 2017 and saw Patti win her round to take £3,000 back to the table. She later ended up in the Final Chase alongside comedian Matt Richardson where they almost won £63,000 for their chosen charities, though they were beaten by Chaser Jenny Ryan.
Patti joined Coronation Street in 2008 and recently shared the TV star she's hoping to see pop up on the cobbles as a treat for her character.
It's been teased that Mary is a big fan of Tipping Point and Good Morning Britain host Ben Shephard, and Patti admitted she'd have big plans if he ever made a cameo.
"We have to get him on! Ben could be passing through, and pop into Preston's Petals to buy some flowers, just as Mary is having a really bad day," she told Inside Soap. "But nobody will believe her when she says he's been there!"
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV. The Chase also airs weekdays on ITV.
