Coronation Street's upcoming Nick Tilsley storyline has been teased, as he faces a shock following the return of Natasha Blakeman.
Although producer Iain MacLeod didn't go into specifics, Natasha's surprise for Nick will have potentially big consequences.
The secret will have an impact on the current storyline with Leanne, Steve, and Oliver, as the future of Leanne and Nick's relationship might be in danger.
"I love the Leanne, Oliver, and Steve story," MacLeod told Digital Spy and other media in a Zoom press conference. "It's incredibly heartbreaking but gathers momentum from the end of September until the end of the year.
"It's one of those soap stories that has tentacles reaching out into all corners of the Street, just partly because of the nature of Steve and Tracy's blended family. It has colossal ripples, rolling out across the Street.

"There's loads of interesting extra layers to it. There's a big surprise/secret that emerges from Nick's past, that comes in and threatens to derail his and Leanne's relationship.
"There's incredible relationship stuff with Steve and Tracy too, as you would well imagine."

MacLeod added that the events to come this year will also set up storylines for 2021.
"It also precipitates a big story for Simon and Leanne, going into 2021," he explained. "That's a story that's got huge momentum behind it as we go into autumn, winter and indeed into next year."
Rachel Leskovac will make her first appearance on the cobbles after ten years on Friday, September 11.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV, but will return to six episodes a week from September 14.
