Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street will revisit the disappearance of Elaine Jones, as Tim Metcalfe plans to find out what really happened.
Next week's episodes will see Tim (Joe Duttine) finally suspect that Geoff has been lying to him and he later becomes concerned for Elaine (Paula Wilcox), who went missing a few weeks ago following a confrontation with her former husband Geoff.
Tim says he will get to the bottom of the mystery and resolves to track his long-lost mother down.
He eventually returns from a trip to Bolton.
Speaking to Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor), Alya Nazir (Sair Khan), and Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo), Tim explains that he couldn't find Elaine and, even more worryingly, it appears she hasn't been back home at all, given the amount of post piling up.

Tim then apologises to Alya for not believing her about Geoff sooner.
Tim's U-turn comes after Sally, Tim and Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) work together to see if they can recover footage from Geoff's deleted camera app. In the aftermath, Geoff receives a visit from the police, who tell him that new evidence has come to light.
Back in July, Tim actor Joe Duttine hinted that fans will see his character turning on Geoff.
"Some families have to close ranks and protect their own, which is what Tim is doing. But I think Tim is starting to feel as if something isn't quite right," he told Inside Soap at the time.
Coronation Street airs these scenes in an hour-long episode on Friday, September 11 at 7.30pm on ITV.
