Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has predicted that her character Maria Connor may "run a mile" if she ever discovers the truth about Gary Windass.
Maria and Gary (Mikey North) are currently taking centre stage in a big storyline, as their future hangs in the balance on the day of their wedding.
Maria is currently unaware of Gary's dark side, including how he killed Rick Neelan last year.
Viewers know that Gary is also still in love with his ex-partner Sarah Barlow (Tina O'Brien), who's covering for him when it comes to Rick's murder.

Speaking to Digital Spy and other media about the ongoing story, Samia explained: "From Maria's point of view, they are in a good place. Ali has left, so her head and heart is all for Gary.
"I think Maria does trust him. She's so silly, isn't she? She wants to believe in a fairy tale as always, and to some extent thinks Gary is her Prince Charming, who stood by her and forgave her for the indiscretion with Ali in the barber shop.
"She trusts and loves him and thinks they'll live happily ever after."

On whether Maria and Gary are a good match, Samia continued: "I love working with Mikey, so I'd say yeah! But I don't know, it's a really tough one.
"In some ways they are, as they are both single parents. They have got lots in common, they have known each other for years and they get on well, but there's a whole other side to Gary that she doesn't know about and anyone in their right mind would say: 'Run as fast as you can'. So in some ways they are, in some ways they are not.
"Maria would be furious and devastated that she's potentially about to be married to a murderer, especially after her first husband, Liam, was murdered and she got engaged to his murderer!
"Maria has not got a great track record with murderers and everyone dying around her. I hope she'd run a mile, but you never know with Maria."

Samia also said it'd be a double blow for Maria if she knew that Sarah has been covering for Gary – and that the pair still have feelings for each other.
She explained: "Maria would feel really betrayed and that is something else now that Sarah and Gary have got together that Maria is not part of, so she would be absolutely devastated."
Coronation Street currently airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV.
