Coronation Street's Sarah Barlow shocks her husband Adam next week by defending Gary Windass over Rick Neelan's death.
Sarah (Tina O'Brien) finally snaps when Adam continues to question her on why she's keeping secrets for Gary.
Adam (Samuel Robertson) demands answers after another chat with Bernie Winter over the watch that Sarah bought from her recently.
Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) tells Adam that the watch had the name Rick engraved on the back and she originally found it in the woods.

When Bernie adds that Gary (Mikey North) seemed very keen to get his hands on the watch, the puzzle pieces fall into place for Adam.
Later, Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) returns Sarah's bag from the recent car accident scene.
Adam walks in to find Sarah holding the watch. Unable to stand back and say nothing, Adam demands to hear everything Sarah knows about Gary's connection with Rick Neelan.
Sarah denies knowing anything, but defends Gary by insisting that if he did kill Rick, he would have only done so to protect her and her family. How will Adam react to this?

Later in the week, the day of Gary and Maria Connor's wedding arrives. Adam is still feeling resentful and can't resist goading Gary ahead of his big day.
Worried by this, Gary visits Number 8 and asks Sarah what she told Adam.
Sarah promises Gary that she didn't expose his secrets, but admits that Adam is insecure over their connection. There's a charged moment between Gary and Sarah, but how far will it go?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, August 10, Wednesday, August 12 and Friday, August 14 at 7.30pm on ITV.
