Coronation Street's Scott Emberton has been surrounded in mystery ever since he arrived, and tonight's (July 15) episode shed some light on his true nature.
Scott has presented himself as a model guest at the B&B, but his appearance caused Johnny and Jenny Connor to do a runner (Jenny is back now but Johnny isn't), so there is obviously some history there.
In tonight's episode, Scott piped up when Peter Barlow was talking to Emma Brooker about Carla, Tracy and Amy, stating that Amy was probably a "brat".

Peter later confronted Scott and told him that he was out of order for what he said, and that Peter should have stood up to defend Carla from Tracy.
He then stated that Peter wasn't there to defend Carla from the blackmailing squat junkies Jordan and Chelsey before, and that someone else had to step in and do it.

The smile he flashed as he said it pretty much gave it away that it was probably him who beat them up.

But what is his connection to Carla and Johnny? And if he's capable of such violence, what could happen to those he perceives as threats to Carla in the future?
We're not so sure that Peter will really want to find out...
Coronation Street currently airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm on ITV.
