Coronation Street's Peter Barlow will prove his innocence over Jordan and Chelsey's attack tonight (June 24.
Peter (Chris Gascoyne) started behaving suspiciously after his partner Carla Connor received two unwelcome visitors.
Recent episodes have seen troublesome newcomers Chelsey and Jordan turn up at the Rovers Return to blackmail Carla (Alison King) about the past.
It turns out that they met when Carla stayed in a squat while experiencing psychosis last year.
Refusing to let it lie, Chelsey (Isobella Hubbard) demanded £1,000 from Carla and threatened to tell Peter what she got up to if he didn't cooperate.

Although Carla ultimately decided to tell Peter the truth about what was going on, she was horrified to later learn about serious assault of a man and a woman on a local estate.
Carla wastes no time in confronting Peter in Wednesday's episode, as she shows him the Gazette headline and accuses him of beating up Jordan and Chelsey.
However, Carla is perplexed when Peter is visibly offended by her accusations and vehemently denies any involvement.
Having calmed down, Peter later assures Carla that he was at an alcoholics' meeting at the time of the assault, meaning it could have had nothing to do with him. But if Peter is in the clear, then who was responsible?
Coronation Street airs these scenes tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
