Coronation Street's Carla Connor makes a big decision over her blackmail ordeal tonight (June 19).

Recent episodes have seen newcomer Chelsey turn up at the Rovers Return and speak to Carla (Alison King) about the past.

It turns out that they met when Carla stayed in a squat while experiencing psychosis last year.

Chelsey (Isobella Hubbard) later returned with her accomplice Jordan and demanded £1,000 from Carla, threatening to tell Peter what she got up to if she doesn't cooperate.

Jordan went on to explain that he ran the squat and ordered Carla to pay up for some drugs that she destroyed during her stay.

To make matters worse, Jordan ramped up the pressure by insisting that he would reveal how she traded sexual favours in order to live there.

With Peter now suspicious as to what's going on, Carla is forced to cover in Friday's episode – lying that Jordan was simply inquiring about a room.

Although Peter is quick to send Jordan on his way, Carla decides to come clean and explains that she is being blackmailed by him and Chelsey.

When Jordan and Chelsey later return to the pub, Carla is furious and makes the brave decision to face up to them.

After Carla stands her ground, Scott steps in and escorts Chelsey and Jordan out of the pub.

Carla is hopeful that her ordeal is over, until a later news report on the radio confirms a serious assault of a man and a woman on a local estate.

Peter immediately turns the radio off so Carla doesn't hear it, but is he responsible?

Coronation Street airs these scenes tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
