Coronation Street's Carla Connor became the victim of blackmail tonight (June 17), as her past finally caught up with her.
Newcomer Chelsey has been hanging around and being a nuisance since last week, and tonight got a free breakfast out of Carla (and tried nabbing cutlery while she was at it) in exchange for her leaving.
She didn't leave, however, and later cornered Carla at the pub with a man named Jordan in tow. We learned that he runs the squat Carla stayed at when she disappeared last year during her mental health storyline.

Jordan turned up to demand Carla pay him for the drugs she destroyed last year, but she's adamant that she owes him nothing.
He ramped up the pressure by telling her that he will reveal how she traded sexual favours in order to stay there. She said no-one will believe him and doesn't even believe it herself, but she was visibly shaken.
As the episode ended, Peter walked in to see Jordan had returned and was trying to bully Carla into giving him 'his' money. Will Peter scare them off, or will he reveal Carla's secret?

Elsewhere, Daniel got dragged to a fancy event by Adam and met a woman named Nicky who is clearly interested in him, sparking the next step in his grief storyline.
Coronation Street currently airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights at 7.30pm.
